Ac Meng, Nang Tanee นางตานี Locket

There was this story of Nang Tanee in Thailand and she's one pretty tree Nymph which captures male imagination for her charm, loveable pretty looks means no harm.

Tanee widely known in Thai belief to be reside in a particular type of banana trees across the land - which for an obvious reason is not popular among Thai people including Asian people to grow banana trees around the house for fear of volatile spirit
and now some short story of Thai folklore about Nang Tanee involving her with the famous Khunpaen Grandson Plai Bua.

Plai Bua Kiew Nang Tanee (Master Bua Courting a Tree Nymph Tanee Dance)

This dance was taken from a popular belief in Khun Chang Khun Phaen chapter. In this scene, "Plai Bua," a grandson of Khun Phaen - the hero of the story, has gone into the forest to seek wild plants to make a love potion before traveling to visit a woman he desires. In the forest, he meets a tree nymph named "Tanee." Here Tanee has transformed herself into a beautiful young lady who tries to captivate Master Bua and asks him of his intention to be traveling through the forest alone. Master Bua after seeing Tanee as a beautiful woman then starts to court her. At the end of the scene, Master Bua manage to use his love magic on Tanee. The story continues when Tanee transforms herself back into a spirit and travels with Master Bua to protect him during his journey.
